This is a matching set / pair! Each has a lovely indigo blue slightly faded stripes with painted NR monogram on each! These would make amazing bolster pillows , just insert a king sized pillow and call it done! ~*~ These wonderful textiles are an antique, handwoven, European grain sacks dating from the late 1800s or early 1900s~ This is a matching pair, woven on the same family farm!! These textiles are unique and special. The various patterns, colors and stripe patterns were woven so that the miller could return the sack to the rightful farm after milling the grain ~*~ These textiles has been hand woven and the fiber content for most is a combination of linen, wool and cotton!~ Most used natural dyes for the wonderful colors! The sides are hand stitched. Ive been sourcing these wonderful textiles for over 20 years now and I have so many in my back stock I just dont have the time to list them. Also, I have a 30 day return period for any reason at all! ~*~ They are some of my favorite textiles I deal in and I have them in every room of my house , they add so much charm to any interior!~

Here are some great things to know about grain sacks :

1) They are extremely durable, they were the work horse of their day!
2) They are perfect for stuffing with a pillow and calling it done! I like to use two that coordinate on all of my beds!
3) They make fabulous upholstery fabric! You can cut them one of two ways: You can open out each side, producing a long thin runner OR you can open them along the bottom straight across, giving you a wide piece of fabric with the hand stitched hem down the middle!
4) They make wonderful, soulful gifts
5) They are great used as : area rugs, table runners, bolster pillows, upholstery fabric, seam together a few for a large piece, bath mats, placemats ~ you name it!
6) Most are machine washable and tumble dry. However, some I recommend dry cleaning. Please see the condition details below for each!

MEASUREMENTS: These each measure approximately 37 inches by 20 inches ( but of course, they are a sack, so it has two sides with those measurements )

CONDITION: These lovely grain sacks are in as found, not freshly laundered condition. Lovely condition. This sack I recommend be dry cleaned due to the bold colors and fiber content!~ Its just better to insure the colors remain! Dry cleaning will also soften the fibers, they are even more beautiful once dry cleaned! Each sack has signs of time and use, some MANY signs , stains , holes, mends patches and some just light marks that should clean beautifully. Please use the zoom feature on the photographs to view the exact condition of each textiles. This really allows me to spend more time listing them online! ~ Some in my store from previous listings have all of the condition details typed out too, if that is important to your purchase.
